My favorite book is The Boxcar Children by Gertrude Chandler Warner. My mom taught me how to read for homeschool when I was little, and I started reading chapter books when I was 7. The Boxcar Children was my first chapter book! It is a great story about how two girls and two boys learn to live by themselves in an abandoned boxcar. Allie, age 9 My favorite book is definitely Fablehaven by Brandon Mull. I first read it when I was 12, and it has been my favorite ever since! I like Fablehaven because it includes mystery and excitement, and great main characters. Posy, age 15 Please note that if we select a comment with a typo/error, we will spell-check it in BTH.

My favorite books are, without a doubt, Blackout, and its sequel, All Clear, by Connie Willis. The protagonists are mainly adults, but there are some kid characters. All of the characters have strong personalities, and the books helped me learn a lot about World War Two!

My favorite book series are the Rainbow Magic books, by Daisy Medows. I like them because of the way the fairy, Kristy, and Rachel solve the problem. Fairyland and the girls always outrace Jack Frost and his goblins!

I used to read those books all the time, and I still love them! That gives us two things in common(we’re both 11)!

My favourite book (series) is definitely the Harry Potter series by J.k Rowling, the greatest author of all time, though if I had to choose just one of them it probably would be HPOP (Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix), because it introduces Kreacher (a rather extreme House Elf) and includes the DA (a resistance group – Dumbledore’s Army).
This is my Harry Potter journey; the first time I read them was when I was 9 and just starting homeschooling. We weren’t sure what to do so Papa sat us down and read the first few chapters to my younger brother and myself, so when he went to make lunch I carried on reading and had finished reading the whole first book within the day and was ready to verbally bombard my mum by the time she came home.
Since then we have made some great homeschool friends and watched all of the movies in one weekend, made & worn lavish costumes for the last movie’s premiere and heaps more cool stuff, so yeah just in case you haven’t already realised, I LOVE Harry Potter!
I love Harry Potter, too, it’s probably my second favorite!

I love Princess Academy by Shannon Hale, the tale of a mountain girl who must leave her close-knit community to attend a academy. All girls from the mountain village, aged 12-17, must attend for a chance to become the Prince of Danland’s future bride.
It’s a beautiful story that gave me chills while reading it and Mount Eskel was described so vividly. Check it out 🙂
Oh, and I love The Hunger Games series by Suzanne Collins.
I’m 12 by the way.
My favourite book series is without a doubt, the Chronicles of Narnia.
In close second are Jane Austen’s “Northanger Abbey” and O’Dell’s “Island of the Blue Dolphins”. The former a recent favourite and the latter a favourite of mine for nearly as long as I can read :p
Narnia, I like because of the setting and the large world the C.S. Lewis develops and portrays and the many characters. Also the size and potential for other worlds (shown briefly in the Magician’s Nephew) is very interesting.
Northanger Abbey is nice because of how Austen portrays daily life and the customs of the era. As well as the character of Miss Morland.
And lastly, the Blue Dolphins is just great. I would partially want to do something like that (do I might be lonely), but survival stories are just so fun to read 🙂

I LOVE the fairy tale novels retold by Regina Doman. LIKE: Shadow of the Bear, Black as Night, and Waking Rose, they are a great series. But i like The Midnight Dancers the best by far. And there is Alex O’Donnell and the Forty Cyberthieves. Thats a great book too. And for anyone that has read the series i like Fish the best. 🙂 All of the books here are by Regina Doman.
THE MIDNIGHT DANCERS is a retelling of THE TWELVE DANCING PRINCESSES set in contemporary times. Paul is a soldier who saves an older man’s life in a situation that sounds just like the recent war in Iraq or Afghanistan. Grateful, the older man asks him to come visit whenever he is in town. He reveals that he has six daughters and six step-daughters, and is worried about them. He wonders whether Paul, a young man, would be willing to help. Paul makes a promise to do what he can.
The rest of the story is told from the point-of-view of Rachel, the eldest daughter. We see 17-year-old Rachel cooking and cleaning, child-minding, aided by her sisters and step-sisters. The parents are religious and strict and every day disappears into a sea of domestic chores. Of course, the girls feel restless. Of course, they would like some fun.
Things begin to happen when one of the sisters discovers a secret passageway that leads to some stairs descending to a private beach. From there, the sister see an enticing island. They manage to persuade some local boys to bring them over in boats, where they meet a mysterious young man named Michael. But what does Michael want?
And that is as far as I will go with the plot, so as not to spoil it for everyone. I didn’t think I was going to enjoy this story, because the beginning of it is cluttered up with everyday triviality which makes it seem superficial. In fact, this novel has unexpected depths to it, so if the beginning puts you off, my advice is to persevere. You won’t be disappointed. 4

My favorite books are The Seven Sleepers by Gilbert Morris. They are the absolute best books ever!
Oh, and I am 12.
My favorite series is the Anne of Green Gables books! Lucy M. Montgomery presents Anne as a fresh, humorous girl. For example, in the third book, her romanitc hopes are bitterly crushed when a freind of hers proposes to her for her brother who is too shy. Her seven freckles and red hair which are a constant trials to her even as a middle-aged lady(in the 6th book).

My favourite series is by far Percy Jackson and the Olympians by Rick Riordan. It’s about these kids who have one regular mortal parent and one that is a Greek god. Those kids are called demigods or halfbloods. The books are filled with Greek Mythology, action and adventure! And the story is told by Percy Jackson (in present tense) and he is pretty funny! I also love the second series which is like a sequel series after Percy Jackson and the Olympians. The second series is called The Heroes of Olympus and the third book in the series is coming out in October! I hope you either pick up the books at your local book store or just reading them from the library because these are amazing books, not ones to miss. Rick Riordan is an excellent writer and once you pick up the first book, you won’t be able to stop!

My favorite book is “Angelfire” by Courtney Allison Moulton. Its a really good book! the other books in the series are awesome too. The main character, Ellie, is my favorite. the other characters are cool too. this book is really good! nice and suspenseful.
My favorite book is “Ghostgirl” by Tanya Hurley. This book is really good! I loved the ending. Charlotte is my favorite. This has a very good story line. Nice and Creepy. Charlotte is a really nice girl. It was sad when she died then woke up not knowing where she was. Piccolo Pam is the kind of friend I would totally want. Just not dead. Once you start reading this, you can’t stop!

My favorite book is probably the Percy Jackson and the Olympians by Rick Riordan. They are full of excitement, suspense, and the awesome story of friends who work together to save each other, over and over. There are battles, romantic scenes, arguments, comedy moments, and more. Everything you could ever want… tucked into one book! Read them! They are super super good!

Ok so I don’t forget Klara age 11. Ok done with that I just LOVE the mandie series and the island of the aunts is also a great book. Nancy drew is the worlds best girl detective book series. And just to let you know that if you read the mandie books out of order it gets really um how do I say it cra-Z c’use they very literately go of the same sentence
